A memorable sunrise mountain experience
-
This trip is well suited to people who enjoy early starts and are comfortable walking in the dark for the first part of the day. It’s ideal if you like the idea of experiencing the mountains at first light and want a rewarding day without it feeling overly intense.
A reasonable level of fitness is needed, along with a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible on the day.
-
We’ll head into the Brecon Beacons while it’s still dark, aiming to reach high ground in time for sunrise. As the light improves, we’ll continue across some of the area’s most dramatic and scenic terrain, with sweeping views opening up around us.
The exact route will be decided closer to the day, depending on the weather and what suits the group best. You can expect a mix of steady climbing and ridge walking, with the chance to stand on some of South Wales’ most celebrated summits.
-
March weather in the Brecon Beacons can be very changeable. We may start in the dark and move into bright sunshine, or we could encounter wind, rain, or even snow on the high ground. Layers and proper waterproofs are essential.
-
All trips are led by qualified and experienced guides. We carry group safety equipment and will adjust the route or plans if conditions require it. Full safety briefings are given at the start of the day.
