A memorable sunset mountain experience
-
This trip is well suited to people who enjoy spending an evening in the mountains and like the idea of finishing with a sunset from high ground. It’s ideal if you want a rewarding mountain experience without it feeling overly intense, and you’re happy to be flexible with the exact route on the day.
A reasonable level of fitness is needed, along with a positive attitude and the ability to be adaptable.
-
We’ll spend the evening exploring the Brecon Beacons, walking across ridges and summits with excellent views across the national park. As the afternoon progresses, we’ll aim to reach a high point in time for sunset, finishing the day with the hills bathed in golden light.
The exact route will be decided closer to the day, depending on the weather and what suits the group best. You can expect a mix of steady climbing and ridge walking, with the chance to stand on some of South Wales’ most celebrated summits.
-
March weather in the Brecon Beacons can be very changeable.
Temperatures can drop quickly as the sun goes down, so having warm layers is essential. We may experience wind, rain, or clearer skies — proper waterproofs and warm clothing are recommended.
-
All trips are led by qualified and experienced guides. We carry group safety equipment and will adjust the route or plans if conditions require it. Full safety briefings are given at the start of the day.
