This weekend is ideal for people who want to experience Snowdon in depth and enjoy variety across multiple days. It suits those who are comfortable with an early start on the Sunday (for the sunrise) and want a proper multi-day mountain adventure without having to organise everything themselves.

A good level of fitness is needed, along with a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible across the three days.

Over two consecutive days, you will ascend Snowdon via two contrasting routes. On Saturday you’ll take on the rugged and scenic Pyg Track, before returning on Sunday to walk the beautiful Miners Track, aiming to reach high ground in time for sunrise.

The exact pacing each day will be adapted depending on the weather, conditions and what suits the group best. You can expect a varied and rewarding weekend, combining a classic mountain day with an atmospheric sunrise experience and the chance to see Snowdon from two different perspectives.

August weather in Eryri can be very changeable. Conditions can vary significantly between days, so layers and proper waterproofs are essential throughout the weekend. The sunrise day will start in the dark, so warm clothing and a head torch are required.

All trips are led by qualified and experienced guides. We carry group safety equipment and will adjust routes or plans if conditions require it. Full safety briefings are given at the start of each day.
