    Fitness level: A good level of fitness is required. You should be comfortable walking 12 km with 1,038 m of ascent. Previous hill-walking experience is recommended.

  • We meet at Cronin’s Yard and follow the classic Devil’s Ladder route up to Carrauntoohil. The path takes you through creeks and steep terrain before reaching the rocky summit. After enjoying the views and the iconic cross, we descend the same route back to the start point.

  • May weather in the Reeks can be changeable — it may be mild at the base but cold, windy, or wet on the summit. Layers and proper waterproofs are essential. Full weather and kit guidance is provided in your Welcome Pack after booking.
