Climb to the highest point in Wales via the popular Pyg Track. Starting at Pen Y Pass, you’ll hike up above the Llanberis Pass and under the nose of Crib Goch before ascending above two beautiful lakes. You’ll pass a small waterfall above Llyn Glas and reach the standing stone as you come out onto the saddle below Snowdon. From there it’s a short, rewarding climb to the summit for photos before descending back to Pen Y Pass.

    Fitness level: Good level of fitness required. You should be comfortable walking 11 km with 723 m of ascent on steep ground.

  • We meet at Pen Y Pass and follow the Pyg Track up above the Llanberis Pass, under Crib Goch, past the lakes and waterfall, to the saddle below Snowdon. We then make the final climb to the summit before descending the same route back to Pen Y Pass.

  • July weather in Snowdonia can be changeable — it may be warm at the base but cold or wet on the summit. Layers and proper waterproofs are essential. Full weather and kit guidance is provided in your Welcome Pack after booking.
