Important Safety Notice:
Tryfan’s North Ridge is a very serious undertaking and should be treated as such. This particular mountain has claimed the lives of people who underprepared with incorrect or inadequate kit and due diligence.
We have never had an incident on Tryfan because we fully plan, prepare and risk assess the route. We do our final weather checks on the morning of the hike. If the conditions are too risky, we will climb Pen yr Ole Wen on the opposite side of the Ogwen Valley instead.
We reserve the right to refuse to let anyone undertake this trip upon kit inspection if it is not adequate — we can help you get your kit together if needed.
