A memorable two-day Lake District experience
-
This weekend is ideal for people who want to take on two proper mountain days in the Lake District. It suits those who enjoy variety in their weekends and are comfortable with back-to-back mountain walking.
A good level of fitness is needed, along with a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible across the two days.
-
Over the weekend you will experience two contrasting mountain days in the Lake District. On Saturday you’ll ascend Scafell Pike from Wasdale, with dramatic views over Wastwater and the surrounding fells. On Sunday you’ll climb Helvellyn via Thirlmere, taking a steadier and more scenic line with excellent views across the central fells.
The exact pacing each day will be adapted depending on the weather and what suits the group best. You can expect a rewarding weekend with a good balance of challenge and scenery.
-
August weather in the Lake District can be changeable. We may experience bright sunshine, rain, or mist, especially on the higher ground. Layers and proper waterproofs are recommended throughout the weekend.
-
All trips are led by qualified and experienced guides. We carry group safety equipment and will adjust routes or plans if conditions require it. Full safety briefings are given at the start of each day.
