Fitness level: Moderate fitness required. The route is short but includes some steep sections and a small scramble near the summit.

We meet at Hawes End and follow the classic path up Catbells. The route is steady and scenic, finishing with a short, fun scramble to the iconic summit. After enjoying the views we descend the same way back to the car park.

September weather in the Lake District can be changeable — it may be warm and clear or cool and wet on the tops. Proper waterproofs and layered clothing are recommended. Full weather and kit guidance is provided in your Welcome Pack after booking.
