This weekend is ideal for people who want a proper mountain day followed by something more relaxed. It suits those who enjoy contrast in their weekends and don’t want two very hard days back-to-back.
A good level of fitness is needed for the Scafell Pike day, along with a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible across the two days.
-
Over the weekend you will experience two contrasting days in the Lake District. On Saturday you’ll ascend Scafell Pike from Wasdale, with dramatic views over Wastwater and the surrounding fells. On Sunday you’ll walk the popular Catbells route, enjoying beautiful views across Derwentwater and the surrounding valleys.
The exact pacing each day will be adapted depending on the weather and what suits the group best. You can expect a rewarding weekend with a good balance of challenge and scenery.
-
September weather in the Lake District can be changeable. We may experience bright sunshine, rain, or mist, especially on the higher ground. Layers and proper waterproofs are recommended throughout the weekend.
-
All trips are led by qualified and experienced guides. We carry group safety equipment and will adjust routes or plans if conditions require it. Full safety briefings are given at the start of each day.
