This weekend is ideal for people who want to experience Snowdon in depth and enjoy variety across multiple days. It suits those who are comfortable with an early start on the Sunday (for the sunrise) and want a proper multi-day mountain adventure without having to organise everything themselves.

A good level of fitness is needed, along with a positive attitude and the ability to be flexible across the three days.

Over three consecutive days you will ascend Snowdon via three contrasting routes. On Friday you’ll take the rugged and scenic Pyg Track. On Saturday you’ll follow the steady and gradual Llanberis Path. On Sunday you’ll walk the beautiful Miners Track, aiming to reach high ground in time for sunrise.

The exact pacing each day will be adapted depending on the weather and what suits the group best. You can expect a varied and rewarding weekend with the chance to experience Snowdon from multiple perspectives.

August weather in Eryri can be very changeable. Conditions can vary significantly between days, so layers and proper waterproofs are essential throughout the weekend. The sunrise day will start in the dark, so warm clothing and a head torch are required.
