important safety notice:
Crib Goch is a serious and exposed Grade 1 scramble. It involves narrow sections with significant drop-offs on both sides and should only be attempted by those who are comfortable with scrambling and have a good head for heights.
This route is not a standard mountain walk. It requires focus, confidence on exposed terrain, and the ability to move safely across rocky and airy ground. In poor weather or high winds, the difficulty and risk increase significantly.
We reserve the right to change the route on the day if conditions are not suitable. In such cases, we will ascend Snowdon via an alternative path (usually the Pyg Track) and may still include parts of the Garnedd Ugain ridge if conditions allow.
If you are unsure about your suitability for this route, please get in touch before booking.

July weather in Eryri can be very changeable. We may experience bright sunshine, strong winds, rain, or mist on the high ground. Layers, warm clothing, and full waterproofs are essential, especially on an exposed ridge.

All trips are led by qualified and experienced guides. We carry group safety equipment and will adjust the route or plans if conditions require it. Full safety briefings are given at the start of the day. This route involves exposure and scrambling, so a good head for heights is important.
